Sickle cell disease is a serious inherited blood disorder that can cause pain crises, infections, stroke, and shortened life expectancy, and it disproportionately affects Black and some Hispanic communities. Increasing accurate awareness helps families seek timely care, advocate for resources, and reduce stigma. Pre- and post-surveys are simple tools that measure what you know before an event and what you learn afterward, making your progress visible. The results reveal knowledge gaps, guide us to tailor education and services, and ensure future programs are more effective. By completing both surveys, you strengthen your own understanding and help the community receive better, data-driven support.
